Confidence in God

The theological virtue of Hope is a heavyweight. It can be described as CONFIDENCE IN GOD. Jesus gives us confidence and demonstrates that God loves us unconditionally. We are God's beloved friends. Friends long to be with us and accept us and love us as we are. The message of hope is:" No doubt about it, God's love for me will prevail in the judgment yet to come in spite of my human failings. With God as my friend and Jesus as my advocate - what is there to worry about? What joyful freedom that gives!" - Edward Schillebeeckx
